About Us

Welcome to Capsule Collective Footwear, where big ideas about footwear were born in a tiny cubicle on 37th Street in NYC back in 2018. Picture this: a cramped space, questionable office lighting, and awkward bruh culture at the communal WeWork beer tap .

Capsule Collective is the brainchild of our founder, Marina Levine, who, tired of the footwear drama and costs associated with big sourcing companies, decided to kick off something bold. She teamed up with Max Footwear Factory Group, shoe manufacturer partner in crime, to bring true footwear expertise to the table.

From design to export, from branding to merchandising, from creating blingy stilettos to leading in sustainable sneaker development, Marina has been there, done that. And guess what? Her deep hands-on experience benefits everyone in the footwear game—wholesale customers, retail customers, and even the hardworking folks in the factory base who need a fair trade advocate. We know private label shoe manufacturers better than anyone else.

Since our humble beginnings in that WeWork cubicle, Capsule Collective has evolved into a small-but-mighty team helping you navigate often opaque waters as related to wholesale shoes suppliers. We've sprinkled our footwear expertise on brands ranging from the colossal to the not-so-huge. So, whether you're a fashion giant or a boutique brand, value big box retail or salon floor, join us on this shoemaking adventure, where we take our work seriously but not ourselves. Cheers to happy feet and even happier shoe stories! 👟✨

Founder & CEO

Marina's journey began in St. Petersburg, Russia. A toddler's voyage to the U.S. changed her canvas. With a creative spirit hemmed in by pragmatic immigrant parents, art and design college were a hard no. Instead, she navigated the snowy landscape of Cornell University, earning a degree in Business & Hospitality.

Post-graduation, Marina found herself drawn back to design, thanks to a twist of fate and a partnership with co-founded brand; Due Farina shoes. With no reservations about diving headfirst into a business she knew little about, she designed, sourced and sold shoes to the likes of Lane Crawford and Nordstrom. Word of her talent spread, leading her to collaborations with some of the nation's major shoe players.

Beyond design, Marina's entrepreneurial determination extended to the broader aspects of the footwear business—sales, sourcing, and marketing, laying the foundation for Capsule Collective. A wife and mother of two, she knows how to juggle responsibilities, proving her mountain-moving skills as a Stage Mom to her aspiring ballet dancer son and Broadway bound daughter.

And in those elusive moments of downtime (if any exist), Marina takes on the role of an elected city official, believing that women should always ALWAYS have a say. We won’t tie this up neatly with a bow. Managing all of the above is messy and every working parent who reads this- Marina says, “I SEE YOU”.
